I am a wolf girl, I am not a known political activist. However, a lot of people have direct messaged me requesting my statement on the matter of George Floyd’s death at the hands of Minneapolis Police. After examining wether or not to make a statement on the matter, I have decided that I will share my personal opinion on the matter.

  1. Former MPD Officer Derek Chauvin is a murderer! Chauvin is a murderer, and should be treated as any other murderer. There is no grey area here. He killed an unarmed person of color, ignored his pleas to stop, and should be punished to the fullest extent of the law.
  1. Police officers who were present, but failed to intervene, are complicit in Floyd’s death! The officers who allowed their colleague to kill Floyd are also responsible for his death, and should face immediate termination and criminal prosecution.
  1. Looters and rioters SHOULD BE ARRESTED & CHARGED People who are looting stores and participating in violent riots are doing nothing but increase and reenforce the already existing climate of violence. I ABSOLUTELY DISAVOW AND REFUSE TO SUPPORT ANYONE ENGAGED IN THESE BEHAVIORS. Your rights stop where somebody else’s begin.
  2. Leave peaceful protesters alone! If they aren’t harming anyone, don’t harm them. People have the right to protest an unjust system.
  3. Police should be held to a HIGHER standard, not a LOWER standard! Police officers should not ever be given a pass to abuse others. In fact, it should be a MORE SEVERELY punished violation for a trained officer to break a law or violate somebody’s rights than for a civilian to do it.

Racism is alive and well in America, as is homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, and all sorts of hatred. We need to start valuing each other as fellow Americans, and stop being decisive and hateful.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT ON GEORGE FLOYD’S DEATH & RELATED MATTERS

I am a wolf girl, I am not a known political activist. However, a lot of people have direct messaged me requesting my statement on the matter of George Floyd's death at the hands of Minneapolis Police. After examining wether or not to make a statement on the matter, I have decided that I will share my personal opinion on the matter.

1. Former MPD Officer Derek Chauvin is a murderer!

2. Police officers who were present, but failed to intervene, are complicit in Floyd's death!

The officers who allowed their colleague to kill Floyd are also responsible for his death, and should face immediate termination and criminal prosecution.

3. 5. Police should be held to a HIGHER standard, not a LOWER standard

Police officers should not ever be given a pass to abuse others. In fact, it should be a MORE SEVERELY punished violation for a trained officer to break a law or violate somebody's rights than for a civilian to do it.
